Nanny's Famous Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
/Since it’s the holiday season, I have decided to gift y’all with the most amazing recipe. These cookies have gotten me through some terrible times and some of the most joyous occasions. My grandmother (we call her Nanny) makes these delicious cookies and if you’re lucky enough to get a batch in the mail, your life will be forever changed. The best part is how simple they are to make!
All you need:
1 Box of Swiss Chocolate Cake Mix
1/2 cup of oil
1/2 cup of pecans
1/2 cup of chocolate chips
2 eggs
First preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. Pour the cake mix into a mixing bowl.
3. Pour the oil into the cake mix.
4. Next, add your eggs and whisk everything together.
Your batter should look like this after mixing.
5. Pour your chocolate chips into your batter and mix.
6. Next, add your pecans and mix the batter.
7. Spray a spoon with some water or oil and scoop spoonfuls of batter onto a greased baking sheet. Shape the spoonfuls into balls.
8. Flatten the balls of dough with your spoon so that you can achieve that signature round cookie. Put the cookie sheet into the oven for 8 minutes and bon appetit!
I also found this recipe which uses butter instead of oil. The cookies are also very delicious, but they taste a bit more rich. So depends on what taste you’re looking for. Here’s the link to the recipe if you want: https://duncanhines.com/recipe/triple-chocolate-cookies/
